Peer Counseling Parents of Children 2-6
Community connection, and healing through the centering of hope
Within my peer space, I offer strength-based peer support and compassionate parent education on a wide range of topics that empower and guide parents through various stages of parenthood. My services focus on mental health, navigating mental health services, special education/Early Intervention services, Birth/Postpartum support, and child development. I also assist in resource and referral navigation, ensuring that families have the tools they need to thrive. Services Include: -Weekly/Biweekly Peer Support Sessions (45-60 minutes): Engage in meaningful conversations to provide emotional support and practical strategies tailored to your unique situation. These sessions are designed to nurture your well-being while you navigate the challenges of parenthood. -Virtual Support via Text (24/7 for One Week): Receive continuous, compassionate virtual support whenever you need it. Whether it's advice, a quick check-in, or emotional encouragement, I am here for you with text-based support available around the clock. -Resource/Referral Support Session (45-60 minutes): A dedicated session to help you find and connect with the right resources and services, ensuring you have the support you need in your parenting journey. -Specialized Areas of Support: Parents Navigating Early Parenthood Alone: Guidance and peer support to help you feel empowered as you navigate the challenges of early parenthood without a partner or support system. -Parents Navigating Early Intervention Services/Autism Diagnoses: Compassionate support as you explore early intervention services or manage the emotional and logistical aspects of an autism diagnosis for your child. -Transition Back to Work/Into Daycare: Help with the emotional and practical adjustments as you return to work or place your child in daycare/nanny care. -Parents Feeling a Loss of Self: Support for parents who feel disconnected from their own identity as they adjust to their new role, offering strategies for regaining a sense of self. -Balancing Self-Care with Parenting Responsibilities: Guidance for parents who struggle with finding balance between caring for their child and prioritizing their own well-being. Together, we’ll explore strategies for self-care that can be integrated into your daily routine. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered as you navigate the challenges and joys of parenthood.
